Mr. Garoutte was born on October 27, 1936 to Kimbrue and Nola (Young) Garoutte in Marionville. Billy attended school in Marionville. He enlisted in the Army on March 24, 1955 and served his country until being honorably discharged on April 4, 1958. Billy worked for Jumping-Jacks Shoes, in Monett, as a shoe inspector for 30 years.
Survivors include his companion of 25 years, Wanda Roller; two daughters, Debbie Jagears, of Monett, and Tammy Hayworth, and her husband, Ric, of Pierce City; one son, Billy Garoutte Jr., and his wife Becky, of Monett; grandchildren, Nathan Lamp, and his wife Eva, Chad Trueblood, Cassandra Garoutte, Billy Garoutte III, Matthew Roller, Kelsey Patterson; four great-grandchildren, Laney and Lauren Lamp, Daphne Jagears, and Dixie Roller; three brothers, Danny Garoutte, Rick Garoutte, and Terry Garoutte, and one sister, Connie Pratt. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Henry Garoutte, and one sister, Betty Bowman.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home.
