Barry Curtis Kee, age 51, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Barry was born on July 27, 1960, in St. Joseph, the son of Dean and Polly (Raiser) Kee.

He was a 1978 graduate of South Holt High School in Oregon, Mo. Barry enjoyed working on the family cattle farm and was a Troop #38 Boy Scout Leader in Monett. He was a dedicated employee of EFCO, retiring after 30 years of service.

On May 4, 1984 in Springfield, Mo., Barry Kee and Patti Williams were united in marriage. To this union one son was born.

Barry is survived by his wife, Patti Kee, of the home; one son, Justin Kee, of Aurora; his father, Dean Kee, of Freistatt; one brother, Terry Dean Kee and wife Linda, of Purdy; one nephew, Jeramy Kee, of Monett; one niece, Laci Milford, of Aurora; one great-nephew, Breydon Miller; and one great-niece, McKayla Miller, both of Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Polly Kee.

Memorial services for Mr. Kee will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Terry LaSalle will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorial contributions have been requested to the Troop #38 Boy Scouts or to Hospice Compassus in care of the funeral home.
