Tony Rattles, 44, of Monett, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011 at his home. He was born March 20, 1967, in Ft. Sill, Okla., the son of Linda (Bergesch) Pettus, of Wentworth, and the late Lee Rattles. He was united in marriage to Chris Machalhaney, who preceded him in death in 2002.
He attended the First Assembly of God Church of Monett.
Tony is survived by his mother Linda; one son: Luke Rattles, of Wentworth; three daughters: Allison Rattles, Abigail Rattles and Emily Rattles all of Clever; two brothers: Kevin Rattles, of Monett, and William Rattles, of Mt.Vernon; five sisters: Robin Rattles, Connie Fargher, Debbie Budd and Lavone Belcher, all of Monett, and Lisa Rattles, of Silex; and two grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Lee; wife: Chris; one daughter: Shatona; two brothers: Jimmy and Kenneth Rattles; and one sister, Cara Howe.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett with Rev. Jimmy Copley officiating.
Burial will follow services at Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City.
