A large choir with both vocal and instrumental soloists participated in the annual Pierce City community Christmas service, held Dec. 4 at the Congregational Church, under the direction of John Archer. Local pastors and readers read scriptures from the "Nine Lessons and Carols" program developed by Kings College in Cambridge, England. The service ended in singing "Silent Night" with lighted candles held in a circle around the sanctuary. Those who attended were treated to refreshments provided by the church after the service.
