Joseph Lamberson, age 87, of Monett, passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1924 in Wheaton, Mo., the son of the late Maurice and Jewel (McCall) Lamberson. He was united in marriage on June 4, 1955 in Monett, Mo. to Mary Margaret Davis, she survives.
He was the former owner of the Bank of Wheaton and a retired bank president. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett and served in the Army during World War II.
Joseph is survived by his wife: Mary Margaret, Monett; three daughters: Cynthia Martin and husband, Greg, Monett; Mary Jo Hall and husband, Randy, Monett; and Eileen Burkhart and husband, Tony, Ozark; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Maurice and Jewel and one son: Bill Lamberson, on May 20, 1975.
Memorial visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Monett. Private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
