Broadway Nights returns to Monett with holiday theme

Broadway Nights returns on Friday, offering holiday shopping opportunities and live entertainment in downtown Monett to enhance the holiday shopping experience.

Merchants will stay open late and many will feature special sales and holiday items.

This will be the first Broadway Nights for the Yellow Frog Company at 501 E. Broadway. Owner Amy Tennison encourages shoppers to check out their full line of beads for making earrings, bracelets, necklaces and even toe rings.

"Come on in and create, Tennison said. "We can design anything you want."

Co-owner Travis Tennison will have his lamp torch in action, making glass beads into jewelry. Special sale items will be available.

Westco has an expanded line of recliners and curios for gift shoppers. Blessings Books and Gifts has music-playing gift bags and a variety of Christmas cards, as well as contemporary Christmas music and new book titles. Connie's Photography will offer photos with Santa Claus until 6 p.m. and again on Saturday.

Clothing stores have their full line of winter fashions in stock. Specialty garments for the season are also available.

Peppers and Company has a full supply of scarves and specials on Christmas-themed jewelry. Fashion Crossroads has winter wardrobe styles and gift ideas, some available at special discounts.

Brownsberger's has a full line of winter clothes, lots of jewelry and accessories. The new line of Miss Me women's jeans are in stock as well as a full line of purses and sales on selected items.

The Trunk offers a great selection of Christmas dresses, tutus, shoes and boots plus new books. Several weekend specials will be offered.

Bruner's Pharmacy has holiday shirts, seasonal items and decorations. Gift ideas from Hallmark include stuffed Snoopys and the new interactive dog, Jingle, who responds to his storybook. Special sale deals will be offered on select Hallmark products.

Live music will begin at 7 p.m. at the coffee houses. Sharon Vore will make a return appearance at Mocha Jo's. For Broadway Nights, Mocha Jo's will offer 16-ounce candy cane steamers and frosted peppermint lattes at the 12-ounce price.

Broadway Nights offers an old-fashioned night on the town for bargain seekers and holiday shoppers.
