New adult non-fiction titles at the Pierce City Branch Library include: "Como Hablar para que Los Ninos Escuchen y Como Escuchar para que Los Ninos Hablen" by Adele Farber; "Eres Genial Tal Como Eres!: 100 Concejos para que Tu Hija Desarolle Su Autoestima" and "Eres Genial Tal Como Eris!:100 Concejos para que Tu Hijo Desarrolle Su Autoestima," both by Elizabeth Hartley-Brewer; "Breakthrough Parenting for Children with Special Needs: Raising the Bar of Expectations" by Judy Winter; and "Discipline: The Brazleton Way" by T. Berry Brazelton.

The library has added a biography of the former First Lady Laura Bush, entitled "Spoken from the Heart."

New DVDs include: The Sons of Mistletoe; The Heart of Texas; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2; The Christmas Toy; The Lion King; Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides; and Mr. Bean's Holiday.

New adult fiction titles include: "Well Tempered Clavicle" by Piers Anthony; "Micro" by Michael Crichton; "Explosive Eighteen" by Janet Evanovich; "Assault of the Mountain Man" by William W. Johnstone; "The Hypnotist" by Lars Kepler; and "Longing" by Karen Kingsbury.

The final meeting of the year for the Pierce City Bookworm Club will be held at 4 p.m. on Dec. 14. The next meeting will be held on Jan. 11, 2012. The Christmas party for preschool Story Time and Lap Time babies and toddlers will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 20. The book will be "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore. Following the story, there will be a sticky and cottony art project for the preschoolers and lap babies, followed by the party. Snacks must be store bought. Story Time and Lap Time will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2012.
