Pierce City vs. Sarcoxie

On Friday, the Eagles fell 75-59 to the Sarcoxie Bears.

Sarcoxie led 18-17 after the first period and 38-29 at halftime. The Bears extended the lead to 53-41 at the end of two quarters.

"Foul trouble was a real problem tonight," said Pierce City coach Matt Street. "We are a young squad that isn't that deep on the bench. Tonight, we couldn't keep pace with a team that was deeper and taller."

Sooter led Pierce City with 24 points. Hyde added 14 points. Colton Drollinger contributed 12 points, and Cody Fitchpatrick chipped in 6 points.

Pierce City hosts Wheaton on Tuesday. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m.
