Crowder College will hold a ribbon cutting at its new location at the Mt. Vernon Academic and Recreation Center (MARC) at 822 W. Mt. Vernon Blvd. on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 3:30 p.m.
Classes will be offered at the site beginning with the spring 2012 semester.
Following the ribbon cutting, guests are invited to stay and visit with Crowder faculty and staff. Heidi Gilligan, service region coordinator, and Kathy Wade, administrative assistant, will be on hand to help prospective students enroll in classes.
Office hours at the location will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays; 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
Crowder College is a two-year community college located in Neosho with other locations in Webb City, Cassville and Nevada. Classes are also being offered in Greenfield, Monett and Lamar at various locations.
Crowder offers associate, associate of applied science, associate degrees and certificates. Students may take classes at any location or online. Crowder College is an A+ school, providing fee tuition and common fees to students who graduated from an A+ high school.
