The Dacy Foundation in Pierce City is sponsoring its first Christmas Wish Tree for children in need who live in the Pierce City R-6 District. The tree is at Sterling's Dry Goods, located at 104 W. Commercial St. in Pierce City. Tags designating whether the recipient is a boy or girl, along with a list of gifts they would like to receive, have been placed on the tree. Gifts and the tags must be returned to the store no later than Dec. 15 for wrapping and delivery. "We will make sure that every child has a gift," said event organizer Norma Bacarisse.
