PC parade plans are underway

The 57th annual Pierce City Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The parade is once again sponsored by the Pierce City Lions Club, and area organizations, clubs and businesses are encouraged to enter a float, vehicle or horse in the parade, which will again travel along Commercial Street from Gibbs to Olive streets.

Line-up for the parade will start at 4:30 p.m. at Central Park Elementary.

On the day of the parade, the Harold Bell Wright Museum in Pierce City will host an Old-Time Christmas with Santa Claus event from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Santa will be in attendance to hand out candy canes and pose for pictures with area youngsters.
