One new non-fiction book has been added to the shelves at the Pierce City Library. It is "How to Raise Kids You Want to Keep: The Proven Discipline Program Your Kids Will Love (And that Really Works!)" by Jerry R. Day. One new biography has been added, "I Didn't Ask to be Born (But I'm Glad I Was)" by Bill Cosby.

Two new DVDs include Zookeeper and Monte Carlo.

New adult fiction titles include: "Zero Day" by David Balducci, large print edition; "Guns in the Gallery" by Simon Brett; "Bring Me Home for Christmas" by Robyn Carr; "Devil's Gate: A Novel from the NUMA Files" by Clive Cussler; "V is for Vengeance" by Sue Grafton; "Boulder Dam" by Zane Grey; "Triangles" by Ellen Hopkins; "The Gravedigger's Ball: A Coletti Novel" by Solomon Jones; "Kill Alex Cross" by James Patterson; and "Shock Wave" by John Sandford, large print edition.

One new reference book has been added. It is "32 Minutes in May: The Joplin Tornado" by the Joplin Globe editors. Reference books cannot be checked out. Patrons are invited to come to the library and read the book.

New titles for the young adult readers include: "Destined" by P.C. Cast; "Maximum Ride: The Manga" by NaRae Lee; "Inheritance or The Vault of Souls" by Christopher Paolini; "Holes" by Louis Sachar; and "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" by Naoko Takeuchi.

Teen readers have a different arrangement in their area. The library will be adding more graphic novels or manga in the future. For more information, call 417-476-5110.

Business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
