The Purdy Family, Community and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter and the Purdy High School family and consumer science (FACS) classes delivered Thanksgiving food to five families, including 10 children, in the Purdy school district so that the families could enjoy a special dinner for the holiday.

The FACS I classes collected more than $200 from the students, faculty and staff at lunch the week preceding Thanksgiving. They wrote the menu and planned publicity in the school and scheduled the money collection.

On Monday, Nov. 21, 14 FACS I students and FCCLA members shopped for the food and delivered the baskets. This is a part of the FCCLA National Program of Community Service. Students shopped at the Purdy Ramey's Store.
