Monett holiday tradition

Favorite displays from the Monett Chamber of Commerce's Festival of Lights are all back this year, though they may be in a different location. Santa's village, shown above, is in the main field south of the tennis courts. The skyline of Bethlehem is located on the tennis courts fence. Lighted candy canes will lead visitors around the north edge of the construction at the park. More water and trees have been added to the old mill scene, now located by the exit at the bottom of the east side of the park. Trees wrapped with lights provide the guide for cars heading to the exit, where volunteer "elves" accept donations. The Festival of Lights opens today (Wednesday).
