Jerry Lee Gray, 68, of Monett, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at 9:41 a.m. at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was born on Aug. 16, 1943 in Wentworth, MO, the son of the late Donald and Marjorie (Brown) Gray.
He worked as a salesman, had one year of college education, and was a member of the National Guard. Jerry was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monett where he was an elder, and was a member of Masonic Lodge #129.
Jerry is survived by one son: Jeff Gray, of Kansas City; two sisters: Marti Garrett and husband, Joe, of Monett, and Sue Haase and husband, Dan, of Pierce City, MO; and two grandchildren: Cole Gray, of Kansas City, and Braxton Gray, of Monett.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, Donald and Marjorie; one son: Jon Gray, in 2007; and two brothers: Don Gray, Bill Gray and family Kathy, Chad, Chase and Brooke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, MO. Funeral services will be on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett, MO. Burial will follow services at Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City, MO.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ozark Dialysis Center.
