This year's class includes 14 participants representing various businesses and industries. The group will enjoy a dinner and graduation ceremony at the Monett South Park Casino. Senator Jack Goodman will be the featured speaker.
Graduation from the Leadership Monett program represents completion of a four-month commitment by members who have met every other Thursday afternoon for eight four-hour sessions. The sessions have covered various topics, such as government, economic development and education, and have also included field trips and tours to various sites around Monett, including Monett City Hall, the Monett Historical Museum, the Monett Municipal Airport, EFCO, IMEC and Tyson's.
Leadership Class members are also required to work together to complete a community service project. This year's class has chosen to prepare food and serve at an upcoming Community Kitchen meal.
