Broadway Nights celebrates two years

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Area residents will have the opportunity to celebrate the second anniversary of Broadway Nights in Monett on Friday, with many downtown merchants joining in the birthday theme of events.

Downtown merchants will be open until 7 p.m. Seasonal fashions will be available in all the clothing stores. Many will have sales to clear summer inventory and offer specials on new items.

Peppers and Co., located at 416 E. Broadway St., will offer light refreshments of cookies and wassail to warm evening shoppers while they peruse a variety of in-store specials.

Broadway Nights has been organized as an opportunity for an old-fashioned night on the town, with shopping over extended hours and a chance to socialize with friends in a relaxed setting.

Live music will begin at 7 p.m. at Mocha Jo's and Denali Dreams. Mocha Jo's will feature "Spur of the Moment," a bluegrass band that recently opened for long-time Branson entertainers The Baldknobbers. Denali Dreams will feature Neva Welters on dulcimer.
