On Nov. 1, the Story Time preschoolers and Lap Time toddlers joined for the Halloween party. There was a pirate, cowgirl and cowboy, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a St. Louis Cardinal, a glittery blue butterfly and Thomas the Tank Engine. The adults also joined the party. One mother wore a witch's hat and Patty Burke, children's coordinator, was a Halloween cat, complete with ears and tail.

On Nov. 15, the library will be reading "Pete the Cat" to preschoolers, and the children can bring a stuffed kitty to help Pete rock in his new school shoes.

Toddlers will also be reading about cats, and they can bring stuffed kitties.

Christmas break will be from Dec. 20 to Jan. 3, 2012. Pierce City Bookworms will have the final meeting for the year on Dec. 14.
