There was a pirate, cowgirl and cowboy, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a St. Louis Cardinal, a glittery blue butterfly and Thomas the Tank Engine. The adults also joined the party. One mother wore a witch's hat and Patty Burke, children's coordinator, was a Halloween cat, complete with ears and tail.
On Nov. 15, the library will be reading "Pete the Cat" to preschoolers, and the children can bring a stuffed kitty to help Pete rock in his new school shoes.
Toddlers will also be reading about cats, and they can bring stuffed kitties.
