Donations welcome

The Monett Jaycees are continuing their annual Thanksgiving food drive through Nov. 20. Non-perishable food items can also be dropped at additional donation boxes set up at Save-A-Lot and the U.S. Bank branch at Sixth and Broadway. The drive represents one of the biggest efforts held in the Monett area to assist the less fortunate at Thanksgiving time. Jaycees will place the donated food items into food baskets, which will be delivered to area families in time for Thanksgiving. Baskets will include milk, eggs, turkeys, a package of rolls, five-pound bags of potatoes, boxes of stuffing and canned vegetables.
