Three people hurt in area traffic crashes

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck yesterday on Highway 39 five miles south of Madry.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck took place at 4:30 p.m. when the driver of a 2000 Chevrolet, James L. Kramer, 58, of Aurora, skidded off the roadway and struck a tree.

Both Kramer and a passenger in the vehicle, Beth Kramer, 58, of Aurora, were taken to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

Other crashes

* An Eagle Rock man suffered serious injuries in an early morning crash yesterday on Highway 76 one-half mile east of Cassville. The crash occurred at 1:53 a.m. when the driver of a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck, Donnie R. Easley, 60, of Eagle Rock, ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Easley was flown to Cox Hospital South in Springfield.
