Carthage-Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 11/02/11

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 lower and
slaughter bulls sold steady. A couple dispersals were included in the
offering providing several bred cows and a light supply of cow/calf
pairs. Demand was good for the better quality take-home cows. Supply
was heavy and demand moderate for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1085-1365 lbs most 845.00-1060.00, better quality 3rd stage from
dispersals 1250.00-1285.00, 1st stage 1085-1320 lbs 710.00-910.00; broken
mouth to aged 3rd stage few 1195-1230 lbs 715.00-730.00. Large 1-2  3 yrs to
