Pierce City artists win awards at recent show

Area artists were honored at the 16th annual Thomas Hart Benton Four State Regional Art Competition and Exhibit, which was held at Crowder College on Oct. 8.

Area artists who won awards at the four-state contest were: Becky Golubski, of Pierce City, "Shakti," professional, third place; Robyn Cook, of Pierce City, "Wrong Way Down a One Way Street," excellence award in drawing; and Aubrey Donaldson, of Pierce City, "Untitled 1," student award

This year's show attracted 83 professional entries and 34 in the emerging category. Mediums included oil, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, drawing and watercolor. Al Letner, of Hastings, Kan., judged the competition.
