An Aurora man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday morning on Highway ZZ two miles west of Marionville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cody A. Price, 21, was seriously hurt after his 2003 Kia struck a mailbox and ditch and overturned. Price, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
The crash occurred at 12:40 a.m.
Three other Aurora residents were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 39 one mile south of Mt. Vernon on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. when a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina, driven by Raymond D. Threet, 22, of Mt. Vernon, turned left into the path of a 1989 Chevrolet 1500 pickup, driven by Darrell G. Delong, 28, of Aurora.
Delong received minor injuries in the crash. One of his passengers, Adam C. Self, 25, of Aurora, was seriously injured, and another passenger, Beliena K. Beard, 48, of Aurora, was moderately hurt. All three were treated at St. Johns' Hospital in Springfield. Threet was not hurt in the crash.
Beard, Delong and Self were not wearing seat belts, and Threet was.
