Jerry was born in Aurora, MO on Jan. 24, 1933 to Charles Ted "Johnny" and Juanita (Hilton) Fulp. Jerry graduated from Aurora High School and served in the United States Marine Corps where he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
He married Wenoka Mosier on Dec. 10, 1954. Jerry had a long career with Missouri Gas and Energy and retired as district manager. Jerry was past president of the Monett Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed Commissioner of the City Council and was later elected Mayor of Monett, serving two terms.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wenoka; two daughters, Kristy Harrell and husband, Bob, of Monett and Jami Fulp, of Monett; one grandson: Jared Harrell, of Monett; one brother: Milton "Gene" Fulp, of Springfield, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews.
|Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Kanai officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time.
