The Monett High School Class of 1976 held its 35th reunion on Sept. 16 and 17 with a number of graduates attending.

Friday night festivities included attending the Monett High School homecoming football game followed by classmates going to the home of Raymond and Melissa Priest for snacks and visiting.

On Saturday, the group gathered for a buffet dinner at Big Baldy's BBQ in Monett. Gerry Bounds led the group in prayer before the meal and offered a moment of silence for those in the class who are deceased.

Bounds presented a Pandora sterling silver charm bracelet with purple and gold charms from the class to Diane Beshears Dupre in appreciation for her work on the reunion. Following the dinner, the goup went to the home of Diane and Lon Depre where they enjoyed an evening of visiting.

Several of the classmates attending the reunion had not been to a reunion or to Monett in over 20 years, and they were interested to see how much Monett had grown.
