Cox makes getting your flu shot easy

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Cox Monett Hospital will be doing its part of fight the flu by hosting a drive-through flu vaccine clinic this weekend.

The annual event, which allows area residents to roll up their sleeves, roll down their windows and receive their flu vaccination without having to leave their vehicles, will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Nurses at Cox Monett will be administering the flu shots on the Monett Physician's Building's south parking lot. Those participating are asked to enter the parking lot from Lincoln Street.

The cost of the flu vaccination is $20 per person, and individuals must be 18 or older to receive the vaccine.

The hospital will also be hosting a walk-in flu shot clinic for the community from 8 to 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 in the Cox Monett Hospital's main lobby.

Cash or checks will be the only type of payment accepted at the clinics. No appointments are necessary.

For additional information about either of the flu vaccination clinics, call 417-235-1COX.
