Highway 60 bridge at Verona reopens tomorrow

Monday, October 24, 2011 ~ Updated 3:23 PM

The bridge on Highway 60 that spans Spring River will reopen tomorrow (Tuesday), three weeks ahead of schedule.

According to Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) officials, the bridge, which has been closed since Sept. 19, will be open to traffic again after 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The bridge is located west of Aurora at Verona.

The bridge received a new deck and bridge walls through MoDOT's Safe and Sound bridge improvement program.

I was just wondering what happened to the little girls grave that was east and southeast of that bridge?? The first time I saw it was back in 1972 and a couple of times after. Just south of there is a sign stateing that the first bible school west of the Mississippi was built there. The grave was between the sign and the Hyway.
