Students returning to Central Park Elementary School in Monett this fall were treated with new multi-colored floors.

The architectural firm of Sapp Design Associates introduced the idea of colored block floors. The first examples were placed in the Southwest Area Career Center then expanded as a unifying element in the multiple buildings combined into Monett Intermediate School.

Colored floors were added in the south building at Monett Middle School and also used widely in the new addition at Monett Elementary.

Changing the old tile floor for a more contemporary look at Central Park was part of summer improvement projects for the R-1 District.
