Monett Council faces full agenda

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

The Monett City Council will address a wide range of business at its monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Monett City Hall.

Council members will review a petition for annexation of six acres from the Billie Medlin estate located on the northeast edge of town.

A resolution committing the city to upgrading lighting at North Park in partnership with the Monett R-1 School District is up for emergency consideration, as well as approval of a contract for maintenance consulting at the golf course.

Several new sections to existing ordinances will be introduced. Two will address interference with traffic flow and repaying pawnbrokers for misappropriated items.

Council members will add to the contract with Southard Construction for work presently underway extending water lines between wells #15 and #21. Funds will be moved into the Electric Department's restricted reserve for future work.

The meeting is open to the public.
