Broadway Nights will host a car, bike and truck show on Broadway this Friday night.
Owners of vintage vehicles are welcome to bring their showpieces for display and park along Broadway between Third and Fifth streets. Activities get underway at 5:30 p.m.
Organizer Shaun Bennett encourages those coming to enjoy the evening to park off Broadway to give the show more room.
Downtown merchants will be open until 7 p.m. Seasonal fashions will be available in all the garment stores. Many will have sales to clear summer inventory and offer specials on new items.
Live music will begin at 7 p.m. at Mocha Jo's and Denali Dreams. Mocha Jo's will have a first Monett performance by Ellis Ayres, of Ozark, who plays a wide variety of music with guitar and vocals. Denali Dreams will also feature live entertainment, but the performer had not been confirmed at presstime.
Broadway Nights has been organized as an opportunity for an old-fashioned night on the town, with shopping over extended hours and a chance to socialize with friends in a relaxed setting.
Bennett said a number of activities are being planned for the second anniversary of Broadway Nights, which will take place on the second Friday night in November.
