Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 10/05/11

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold 2.00-
3.00 higher. Most of the offering went to slaughter. Bred cows were limited
in both number and quality and the supply of cow/calf pairs was light. Supply
was heavy and demand moderate to good for slaughter classes.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  3 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1000-1305 lbs most 700.00-900.00, black indiv. 950.00, 1st stage
960-1200 lbs 660.00-800.00; broken mouth 3rd stage 1085-1310 lbs 600.00-
