Monett woman hurt in wreck near Halltown

A Monett woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 44 three miles west of Halltown yesterday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 10:35 a.m. when the driver of a 2009 Freightliner, Donald G. Forrest, 54, of Inkster, Mich., crossed the centerline and was struck by a 2004 Dodge Durango, driven by Misty R. Mayne, 34, of Monett. After the Mayne vehicle struck the Freightliner, the Durango ran off the road and into the median.

Mayne was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
