Receipts: 1300 Last Week: 1421 Last Year: 1153
Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower with the
greatest decline on boning and lean cows, and slaughter bulls sold 3.00-4.00
lower. Packer buyers continue to report more cows are available than they need
causing slaughter prices to decline. With several herd dispersals included in
the offering there was a moderate supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs.
Supply was heavy and demand light to moderate for slaughter classes.
