One new adult non-fiction title has been added at the Pierce City Branch Library. It is "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Getting Older: An Insider's Survival Manual for Outsmarting the Health-Care System" by Mark Lachs.
Four new DVD's have been added. They are: Spooky Buddies; On Strike for Christmas; Breaking the Press; and The Cross and the Towers: In the Midst of Devastation, Hope will Rise.
New adult fiction titles include: "Robert B. Parker's Killing the Blues: A Jesse Stone Novel" by Michael Brandman; "Lethal" by Sandra Brown; "Prey" by Linda Howard, large print edition; "Police and Thieves: Bridger" by James Patrick Hunt; "The Ballad of Tom Dooley, a Ballad Novel" by Sharyn McCrumb; "Ozark Woman: Book Three of the Ozark Trilogy" by Terry Piper; "New York to Dallas" by J.D. Robb; and "Son of Stone: A Stone Barrington Novel" by Stuart Woods.
One new title has been added for the preschool and beginning readers. It is "Rocking in My School Shoes" by Eric Litwin.
New titles for the young readers include: "Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25" by Richard Paul Evans; "Ironhand" by Charlie Fletcher; "The Horn of Moran" by Mark Forman; "Torn" by Margaret Peterson Haddix; "The Power of Six" by Pittacus Lore; "Boys that Bite" and "Stake That!" by Marianne Mancusi.
Preschool storytime has begun and the children have colored and painted. For October, the children will make pumpkins to put in the display case. Storytime is held at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday, and lap time is held at 11 a.m.
