The theme of the networking luncheon was "Made in Monett," offering local industries and businesses an opportunity to display the products they manufacture. Those participating included: IDF; Roderique Arms and Tool; EFCO, a Pella company; IMEC; Tyson; Associated Machinists; Schreiber Foods; Bass Equipment; and the Monett Historical Society.
Mark Scabarozi, vice president of manufacturing for IDF, welcomed everyone to the mingle and thanked Monett for its support.
"We have experienced phenomenal growth over the past 10 years," said Scabarozi. "We're extremely proud to part of this community, and we thank all of you for helping us reach this level."
IDF, located at 700 S. Chapell Dr., is a manufacturer of food ingredients that are sent to over 300 companies in the United States and 28 different foreign countries. IDF ingredients can be found in products manufactured by Campbell Soup, Nestle, Kraft, Swanson's and Progresso, to name just a few.
Those who attended the Membership Mingle were treated to a free lunch courtesy of IDF and also went home with an emergency road kit, also provided by their host. Following lunch, the group had the opportunity to view IDF's new warehouse and dryer, which is over 60 feet tall.
The chamber's next Membership Mingle will be held at noon on Oct. 20 at Aaron's Sales and Leasing on Highway 60 in Monett. For more information, call the chamber office at 235-7919.
