Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 09/23/11

Rains finally came to the southern areas of the state with up to 5 
inches being reported in spots. This much helped stock water supplies 
and producers are hopeful that frost will hold off long enough to still 
allow for some fall pastures. Corn harvest has made good progress but 
some areas have been slowed by recent rains. Hay movement has been good 
although much of hay being sold is traveling out of state. Hay demand is 
light. Supply is moderate.  Prices are steady. Missouri Department of
