The Lutheran Women's Missionary League Dorcas Ladies Aid met on Sept. 1 in the fellowship hall of the Trinity Lutheran School. Judy Lehde welcomed 17 members and two guests.
Eleanor Smidt presented the worship entitled "My Leading Good Shepherd" and read a poem entitled "A Prayer for Those Who Live Alone."
Ruth Bremer presented the program entitled "Who Wants to Be a Leader?" Erna Doss gave the closing prayer. The Mite Box ingathering was given by Marge Harris, and the Mites were collected.
Correspondence was read, an offering was taken and cards were signed for Anne Telschow and Selma Kleiboeker.
Shirley Brandt reported that the bulletin covers, "Being with Jesus Living on the Edge," were ordered for the Oct. 2 Sunday service. Ladies will not sit together but will wear the LWML badges. There will be a basket dinner following church on LWML Sunday.
Lena Bremer announced that the next mission committee work day will be held on Sept. 19, and ladies are asked to bring a covered dish.
The birthday song was sung for Elda Nelson and Selma Kleiboeker. Ethel Helmkamp and Grace Doss were the visitors for August. Helmkamp reported having visits with several members of the congregation.
Shirley Brandt and Lena Bremer are the nominating committee, and Brandt asked for volunteers for the LWML offices for 2012.
The president thanked the hostesses, Ruth Bremer and Lena Bremer. The meeting closed with The Lord's Prayer.
