Augusta was born on Nov. 27, 1928 in Hoberg, MO, the daughter of the late Dana Blanchard and Lovice Beryl (Maples) Blanchard. She was a graduate of Pierce City High School and had worked for over 24 years at Sarajo in Pierce City as an inspector. More importantly to her, was raising her family. Augusta enjoyed fishing, needle work and being entertained at the casino. She was a Presbyterian.
Augusta was united in marriage to Cleo Reynolds on April 6, 1946. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2002. Also preceding her in death was one brother: L.D. White and one grandson: Timothy James Reynolds.
Augusta is survived by four sons: Dan Reynolds and wife, Joyce, of Pierce City, Ink Reynolds and wife, Mary Lee, of Sarcoxie, MO, Ed Reynolds and wife, Linda, of Pierce City and Richard Reynolds and wife, Cheryl, of Stotts City, MO; two daughters: Janey Rainey and husband, Mike, of Columbus, KS and Tammy Balmas, of Carthage, MO; one brother: Larry White and wife, Lisa, of Austin, Texas; one sister: Dana Hall and husband, Ray, of Monett, MO; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Reynolds will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011 at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Whittemire officiating. Interment will be in the Van Buren Cemetery near Wentworth, MO. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15 at the funeral home.
