The Pierce City Lady Eagles improved to 7-1 on the young softball season with a pair of wins this week.
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles defeated Dadeville 8-1.
Pierce City struck first with two runs in the first, single tallies in the second, fourth and sixth innings and three runs in the seventh.
Mckenzie Moreland picked up the win for the Lady Eagles, allowing one earned run while striking out 14.
Bailee Hayward, Emily Ashley, Moreland, Gabby Phillips, Faith Strong and Jade Winsea all had one RBI for the Lady Eagles.
On Tuesday, Pierce City blitzed Billings 17-0. The game ended via the mercy rule.
Sara Stearns went three for three with a double and three-run home run and finished with six RBI.
Moreland got the win, pitching three scoreless innings and striking out five.
The Lady Eagles will be on the road at the Walnut Grove Tournament today and tomorrow.
Pierce City, the number one over all seed, will open play against the eighth-seeded Fair Play. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
