New on the shelf at the Pierce City Library is a book on CD entitled "The Ideal Man" by Julie Garwood and a DVD, Logan.

New adult fiction titles include: "Senior Moments are Murder: a Paul Jacobson Geezer-Lit Mystery" by Mike Befeler; "Love Finds You in Sundance, Wyoming" by Miralee Ferrell; "Ambush of the Mountain Man" by William W. Johnstone; "Saint's Gate" by Carla Neggers; and "Kill Me if You Can" by James Patterson.

Preschool Storytime begins on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5. Following storytime, at 11 a.m., is Laptime for lap babies and children age 3 and under. On Sept. 14, the Bookworm Club for elementary, middle school and high school readers will meet at 4 p.m. Bookworms are asked to pick up a book report form before the meeting. Parents or guardians must have a library card with the Barry-Lawrence Library system for children to join any of the programs.

The Pierce City Branch Library is located at 101 N. Walnut. Business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
