Monett Library News

Thursday, September 8, 2011

The Monett Branch Library will be participating in "National Library Card Sign-Up Month" during September by giving a treat to new library users who visit the library to signup for a library card. Residents of Barry or Lawrence counties need to bring a photo ID, such as a driver's license and proof of current address if different from the ID, to receive a free library card. Children between the ages of 6 to 15 may be issued their own card as long as a parent or legal guardian is present and has a library card. Those who do not reside or pay property taxes in Barry or Lawrence counties may pay an annual fee of $20 to receive a non-resident library card.

New adult fiction titles available at the Monett Branch Library include: "Unsaid" by Neil Abramson; "Who Shot the Water Buffalo?" by Ken Babbs; "The Paradise Prophecy" by Robert Browne; "Jefferson Burke and the Secret of the Lost Scroll" by Ace Collins; "In a Treacherous Court" by Michelle Diener; "Golden Lasso" by Fern Michaels; "A Good Hard Look" by Ann Napolitano; "Close Your Eyes" by Amanda Eyre Ward; and "The Hypnotist" by Lars Kepler.
