Music festival at Dry Valley

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

(Photo)
The scenic grounds of the RV park next to the historic Dry Valley School, west of Pierce City, rang out with bluegrass music again on Saturday as the Brown family launched a one-day revival of the bluegrass festival, which was run by the late Lonnie Dunn, of Monett, for 15 years. Brightwater Junction, from Cassville, shown above, closed the official concert, followed by encore sets by Old Wire Road and the Raley family. In the photo at left, Jo-Ellen and Kenneth Bonham, and their son, Logan, of Sarcoxie, were among the hundreds who enjoyed the show. [Times Photos by Murray Bishoff] [Order this photo]
