Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 09/02/11
Thursday, September 1, 2011
MO Dept of Ag-USDA Market News
Pasture conditions decreased slightly this week and topsoil
moisture remains a concern for all but the Northwest district of
the state. While we are experienceing warmer temperatures this
week, fall is creeping into the morning air and will begin to
linger into the day soon. Hope remains that much of our pasture
will recover the sharp decline from the brutal summer heat.
Hay demand is light. Supply is moderate. Prices are firm.
