The First Baptist Church held its dedication ceremony at its new facility on Sunday, June 26 with over 200 in attendance. Dr. Bill Cox, pastor, gave the dedication with past pastors in attendance.
The First Baptist Church of Monett held a dedication of its new church building on Sunday, June 26. The first service in the new building, located on Highway 37 south of Monett, was held on Sunday, June 5.
In honor of the dedication, volunteers were asked to decorate the tables in any style that they wanted. Many of the decorations featured sports, cowboy, old time photos and bird houses.
The dedication was made by Dr. Bill Cox, pastor of the church. During the ceremonies, Charlie Huntress was presented with a grill for his contributions to the building of the church. All committees involved in the church were recognized with dinner following the service.

Among the 253 present for the dedication were former pastors. Steven Strauch, director of missions, and Ken McCune, multicultural planting strategist, gave presentations.
