Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 08/26/11
Thursday, August 25, 2011
MO Dept of Ag-USDA Market News
Prices within the state are remaining steady, however some producers
who are selling hay to the drought areas of the country are finding a
premium market. Missouri doesn't generally have a great surplus of hay
so these sales are not evident enough to result in price swings that other
areas of may be seeing. Pasture conditions remain steady in most of the
state. Hay demand is light. Supply is moderate. Prices are steady.
Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory available for
both buyers and sellers. To be listed, or for a directory, visit
