Purdy splits games with Wildcats, Bears

The Purdy Lady Eagle softball team picked up a 15-1 victory over Billings on Tuesday.

Purdy pounced early with seven runs in the second inning and five more in the third to build a 12-0 advantage.

Sophomore Carleigh Hall pitched four scoreless innings and struck out eight batters to earn the win.

Addy Roller provided the fireworks from the plate going three for three with two RBI. Taylor Moller collected two hits for the Lady Eagles.

Purdy will be in action on Thursday at home against Miller. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.

Purdy falls to Sarcoxie

The Sarcoxie Lady Bears rallied with a seven-run fourth inning to clip the Purdy Lady Eagles 11-10 Tuesday night.

Purdy (1-1) jumped out to a four-run lead, scoring three runs in the first inning and one more run in the second.

Trailing 6-1, the Lady Bears scored seven times in the fourth inning to take the lead.

Roller collected three hits for the Lady Eagles, and Rachel Neill collected two more.provided the fireworks from the plate going three for three with two RBI. Taylor Moller collected two hits for the Lady Eagles.

Purdy will be in action on Thursday at home against Miller. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.
