The Pierce City Lady Eagles defeated Nixa 6-2 Tuesday night to improve to 2-0 on the young softball season.
"We started hitting the ball really well last night," said Pierce City Head Coach Darin Henderson. "This was a big win for our program. I never had a team with this much talent, and really we are in uncharted waters. The key for us is to stay hungry and motivated."
Each team swapped two runs in the first inning before Pierce City took control. The Lady Eagles added a run in the third inning and three more in the fourth.
Sarah Stearns had two RBI for the Lady Eagles.
Pierce City will be in action on Thursday at Crane. First pitch is slated for 4:30 p.m.
