The Pierce City Branch Library has two new cartoon DVDs. They are: Mars Needs Moms and Rio.

New adult fiction titles include: "Who Shot the Water Buffalo?" by Ken Babbs; "Something Old" by Dianne Christner; "Bound by Guilt" by C.J. Darlington; and "Journey to Riverbend" by Henry McLaughlin.

Added this week for the tween and teen readers is "Die for Me" by Amy Plum. For the youngest reader one title has been added, "Fancy Nancy, Stellar Stargazer!" by Jane O'Connor.

Preschool Story Time for 3 to 5 year olds begins at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 13, and Lap Time at the Library for lap babies and toddlers up to 3 years old begins at 11 a.m. on Sept. 13. The Bookworm Club for kindergartners, elementary, middle and high school children begins at 4 p.m. on Sept. 14. Bookworm participants need to come to the library prior to Sept. 14 for a book report form to complete after reading a book and bring the report to the meeting. Registration is not needed for the programs, but parents or guardians must have a library card with the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library system.

The Pierce City Library is located at 101 N. Walnut. Business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, call 417-476-5110.
