   Compared to last week, feeder steers over 500 lbs and all weights of feeder 
heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher with steer calves under 500 lbs trading 5.00-
7.00 higher.  Most comparable weights of Holstein steers were 3.00-5.00 higher.  
Quality of the offering was above average with several large consignments 
included in the Wean-Vac portion of the sale.  Cooler temperatures have eased 
the discounts on unweaned calves and improved demand for lightweights to turn-
out on late-summer and fall grass.  Supplies included 36 percent steers, 46 
percent heifers, 10 percent feeder bulls, and 8 percent Holstein steers with 52 
percent of the run weighing over 600 lbs.
