Joplin Regional Stockyards: Cow and Bull Auction Close for 8/10/11

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 2.00 higher, and
slaughter bulls sold 2.00 higher. The offering included several small dis-
persals from producers out of pasture and short on hay. The supply of bred
cows was moderate and the supply of cow/calf pairs was light. The rain re-
cieved over the past several days brought with it some much appreciated
relief from the heat. Supply and demand were moderate for slaughter classes.
